    Checkd Group winner in Best Use of Social Media and Innovation Award categories at iGB Affiliate Awards

    Judges praise ‘strong numbers’ in social media and label the company a ‘clear winner’ for innovation

    Manchester, 15 July 2021 – Checkd Group has scored a brace at the 2021 iGB Affiliate Awards after being named winner in the Best Use of Social Media and Innovation Award categories.

    Through its Checkd Media division, it runs one of the UK’s largest and most influential sports betting communities, with an audience of more than two million social media followers across its three core brands: Footy Accumulators, The Winners Enclosure and Oddschanger.

    Determining Best Use of Social Media, the judges recognised Checkd Media’s efforts in boosting traffic and conversion rates for clients, including bet365, Betfair, Paddy Power and William Hill.

    Excellent growth on social media across a range of metrics, including followers, impressions, engagements and engagement rates was also noted, while the company’s innovative content and increasing shift to video content, produced alongside its operator partners, was also a decider.

    On Checkd Group’s entry, the judges said: “This was a fantastic example of social media engagement, growth and innovative marketing to keep audiences engaged and entertained, in what has been a year of constant pivots and changes. Checkd Media demonstrated strong numbers and a very strong submission.”

    Checkd Group also landed the Innovation Award – seeing off competition from eight other nominees – for the relaunch of its Footy Accumulators Betting Hub app, developed by its Checkd Dev division.

    The impressed judges said of the Betting Hub app: “Described as the first real one-stop shop for sports punters that works, with lots of experimentation and dedication to innovation, this makes them a clear winner.”
